On April 8, Costa won “The Most Popular Cruise Line” title at the World Travel Fair 2009, shortly after winning the Golden List Award of "The Preferred Cruise Line" by National Geographic Traveler magazine.

| Princess Cruises gave further details about its 2010 Alaska deployment, consisting of 112 sailings on seven ships, down from 130 sailings on eight ships this year. Princess is moving from four ships to three on the Gulf of Alaska route between Vancouver and Whittier.
