I'm happy to share with you the 2010 Cunard World cruises on both Queen Mary 2 and Queen Victoria. For this issue, we've focused on what I think is the pick of the sailings and included airfares, luxury accommodation, transfers and stopovers to compliment the packages. We've even added an African Safari to one!
Cunard's magnificent Queens, Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2, will each embark on their third World Cruises in January 2010 – marking over 88 years of World Cruise heritage for Cunard. Continuing the tradition of impeccable signature White Star Service, fine dining and unrivalled Grill accommodations, both Queens will offer distinct itineraries calling in 31 countries around the globe.
The flagship Queen Mary 2 will offer a completely new and unique itinerary over 108 nights. Whilst visiting every major continent in the world, Queen Mary 2 will call at 17 maiden ports and visit 9 countries/territories for the first time, including South Africa. She will call at a total of 34 ports – more than she has ever done on a world cruise – with a strong Far East and Australasia port content, including maiden visits to the Whitsunday's, Adelaide, Fremantle and the Bay of Islands. Her itinerary also now includes overnight calls in the key cities of Hong Kong, Sydney and Cape Town.
Cunards newest addition Queen Victoria will offer a traditional full circumnavigation of the world over 107 nights. This will include overnight calls in New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and Dubai. She will be making 12 maiden calls – including her first visits to SA and WA – and will visit a total of 38 fascinating ports, as well as offering the opportunity of experiencing both epic canal systems in Panama and Suez.

Let's start with Sydney to Cape Town on QM2. With this sailing, we have two packages, one fly/cruise and stay and one with a 7 night add on Private Safari. Depart Sydney on the 8th of March 2010 for a 17 night cruise to Cape Town visiting Adelaide, Fremantle, Port Louis and Durban. Our fly/cruise and stay package includes the cruise, all transfers in Cape Town, 2 nights at the 5 star Commodore Hotel, half day sightseeing tour of Cape Town, one way flight home with Singapore Airlines and FREE stop over in Singapore at the Fairmont hotel including transfers, all from an amazing $5,849.00! Our Safari package includes all the above except once you get off QM2 in Cape Town, you'll head in a different direction. Upon disembarkation, you'll be met and transferred to the Mount Nelson hotel for a three night stay including breakfast. This hotel is part of the Orient Express brand so you know it's going to be good. Whilst at the hotel, we are also including a full Day Table Mountain, City and Winelands Tour including entrance fees and lunch, Half Day Kirstenbosch garden tour, Dinner at Beluga & Pepernero Restaurants. We'll then transfer you to the airport for a short flight to Nelspruite, then transfer to Kruger airport for a flight to Sabi Sabi lodge. I've been to Vic Falls and it is an amazing place, the sound of the water and the sheer size is very hard to explain, but it should be on everyones to do list! Whilst there, you'll of course do a tour of the falls although it's easy walking distance for yourself, you'll have a private dinner on the hotel lawn, Chief Mukuni Village Tour with specialist guide, Russell Gammon and dinner on the historic train. Asian Odyssey starts in Hong Kong at the Legendary Peninsula Hotel on the 11th of February 2010. We'll transfer you from the airport on our group transfer to the hotel for a two night stay. I think you need two nights just to experience this landmark in Hong Kong. It is a fabulous people watching hotel, all you have to do is sit in the foyer, have a coffee and watch the world go by. The lunch menu is light and very affordable, around $20.00 AUD for a light noodles or pasta dish. We are including a half day sightseeing tour and a Peak Tram pass just to make sure you go to the top of Hong Kong. On the 13th of February, you'll transfer and board QM2 for a wonderful 23 night cruise to Sydney. You will visit Shanghai, Nagaskai, Tokyo, Guam, Rabaul, Whitsunday Islands, Auckland and the Bay of Islands before cruising through Sydney Heads, an experience one must do.
