While the Aussie dollar is climbing against the USD and it went through .96 last night, I want to raise something with you. When you see on the TV, papers or websites the AUD - USD is say .96, that is a rate that is used by the banks however, this rate is not something you can walk into an exchange dealer and get. The rate you can buy, say USD $5000.00, will be much less than .96 and in fact this morning, you can buy it for .9429. The reason I'm telling you this is, some of our packages are based on USD and when we re-cost peoples files before final payment, we re-cost them on a rate we can buy the USD at on that day. We have people saying, "but we've seen it at .96". Yes you have, but we cannot buy it for that. Please be patient with your consultant and understand the above if you are in a similar situation.
