Hi Cruisers,

Our private Orion Charter is only two weeks away and I'm really looking forward to it. Two years in the making, with a lot of effort going into it, is going to make for a great time. If you're joining us, Philippa and I are looking forward to spending 10 nights with you and if you're not, we still have 3 suites left, it's not too late!

As you know our 25 night QM2 and Private African Safari package has been on wait list for about 6 weeks. During this time I've been working hard on opening up more spaces as we have a huge wait list! Good news is I've managed to secure another 5 star Game Lodge in Krueger National Park in close proximity to our current lodges. The other big news is we have chartered a Private Jet to fly all 140 of us from Cape Town to Nelspruit - Livingston and Johannesburg. This will enhance our trip immensely, we'll even have our own check in at each airport not to mention we can fly directly into each airport rather than via other airports giving us more time for Safari, it's going to be awesome! We have emailed all the people on wait list and have now cleared that. The long and the short of it is we have 20 Spaces Available and it's first in. Once these places are filled there will be no more spaces. Philippa and I would love you to join us as it's going to be a fantastic experience.

The cruise departs Sydney 8 Mar 2010 and you will spend 17 days with QM2 bound for Cape Town. Philippa and I along with some of the ecruising staff will be on board to host dinners and answer any questions you have whilst on board QM2. I won't go through all the inclusions, but you can read those online. I will tell you though, if you buy an Outside cabin on QM2 you'll get a Balcony! We are also including a stopover in Singapore at the Fairmont Hotel just to finish it off! Prices start at only $11,399 including return economy air fares (Business Class up grade is $4499.00) from Johannesburg to Australia, we are flying Singapore Airlines and for those that live in Sydney we are flying on the A380, what a way to finish! I know some of you like to travel independently and may think a group of 140 is too much, but to be honest, the only place you'll see the other 140 of us will be on the private jet and during some of the tours. The Safari camps are close to each other, but the maximum is 40 per camp with some of them only holding 14. So, if you have a small group, it would be perfect! The sceptics had a field day when ecruising.travel launched just under ten years ago with the-then untested idea of an online booking service selling nothing other than cruise and cruise-related holidays direct to consumers.

Today it is Founder and Chairman, Brett Dudley and his team who are having a field day: they've just seen through their biggest year ever, and despite the current economic outlook cruise bookings are pouring in – and they've just expanded the concept of ecruising.travel off-shore, opening an office in Hong Kong.

Brett Dudley launched ecruising.travel in January 2000 with a staff of just two. In their first year they sold 212 cruise holidays online: today there are 21-staff in ecruising's Sydney office, selling over 2000 cruise and cruise-related holiday packages a year.

There are four staff in the recently-opened Hong Kong office, to which Brett Dudley has moved to guide the venture there through its initial months.

"And we were the first in Australia to sign up to the .travel web address so consumers simply added that to our name to link directly to us – they didn't have to worry about our name and a convoluted domain and whether there was a .com or a .com.au It was simply ecruising.travel

"And we've a very competent and enthusiastic team whom consumers can get onto by phone if they feel there's some aspect of their holiday they want to talk through with an expert."

It's a combination of the easily accessible and simple to understand website, and access to an expert by phone, that has just won ecruising.travel the accolade of Best Individual Cruise Travel Agent for 2008, as voted by readers of Cruise Passenger Magazine.
